Parent's involvement is vital to our children's success in school and society. CAPA brings into closer relation the home and the school that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of students. And the Association provides a meaningful and enjoyable way for parents to become active members of the Diamond Bar High School family.
  • * Fundraiser planning: assist in planning fundraiser events for DBHS CAPA. Money raised are donated back to DBHS Principal's general fund to help acquire educational equipments and/or supplemental materials, which in turns benefit our children.
  • * Social event planning: assist in planning CAPA social events, such as Welcome Social, Year-End social.
  • * Proctoring: assist DBHS teachers in monitoring students during school-wide exams, such as California High School Exit Exams, AP Exams, and/or IB Exams. As little as 2 hours/day during school exam dates/hours, school will contact volunteers to confirm availability, when needed.
  • * Seminar planning: assist in planning DBHS CAPA seminar, such as Face-to-Face with DBHS Graduates, 8th Grade Parent Orientation.
  • * Membership drive during registration week: staff DBHS CAPA table during registration weeks; minimum of 2 hour interval. Will confirm prior to registration weeks.
  • * Activity Coordinators: assist DBHS CAPA board members in coordinating DBHS CAPA activities.
